The previous review mentions that this only works with the factory installed batteries. I understand why they think this. I had the very same issue but bizarrely I found that if you replace one battery at a time it works. Very strange. Regardless of that when you do finally get the batteries changed they last about two days with very minimal use. This toy is a mess. Should never have been released.Wow if only I knew this before purchasing! My 3 year old grand daughter is heartbroken it no longer works and we tried new batteries twice just to make sure...and nothing! This is just awful!Why is this item listed for $42 when you can get it at K-mart for $16??Besides it will only work as long as the original batteries last because when you change the batteries it no longer works. Only the off brand factory installed batteries work for some reason. Duracel, Energizer, generic...nothing!
